Trent Alexander-Arnold 8 – The youngster was excellent going forward and he was solid in defence.
Joe Gomez 8 – He was arguably one of the most composed players on the pitch and Gomez didn’t make any mistakes despite featuring in his first game in over a year.

Alberto Moreno 7 – A promising performance from Moreno, who has looked poor so far this season.
Emre Can 7 – Was an improvement from his display against Sunderland but failed to add the much-needed invention for his side.
Kevin Stewart 6 – The 23-year-old struggled to show why he should be a regular for Liverpool and he gave away a number of unnecessary fouls.
Ovie Ejaria 7 – Looked one of the best players in the first half but was quieter in the later stages.
Ben Woodburn 7 – A goal would have boosted his rating as Woodburn showed a lot of potential in attack.
Sheyi Ojo 6 – Struggled to get into the game and clearly needs more game time under his belt after a lengthy injury lay-off.
Divock Origi 5 – The striker was one of the more senior players on the pitch but he failed to provide the spark and it was an unusually disappointing display.
Daniel Sturridge (for Emre Can 62 mins) 7
Adam Lallana (for Ovie Ejaria 77 mins) 6
Roberto Firmino (for Ben Woodburn 77 mins) 6
