Liverpool are among a number of top Premier League clubs chasing West Brom hot-shot Jovan Malcolm, Football Insider can reveal.

The 16-year-old forward is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in his age group in the country after catching the eye for the Championship club's youth sides.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that Malcolm is firmly on their radar as they plot a move for him following regular scouting missions.

The rising star is a regular for West Brom Under-18s and he enhanced his growing reputation with a four-goal salvo in a thrilling 6-3 win against Liverpool's own Under-18s last weekend.

Malcolm has scored seven goals and provided three assists in nine Under-18s games so far this season.

His outstanding performance at the weekend has made Premier League leaders Liverpool sit up and take notice of the talented teenager.
