Report: Liverpool eye up 23-year-old international, release clause fixed at £17m
By Dominic Toner
Liverpool scouts have been and watched Real Betis defender Riza Durmisi, according to a report.
The Mail claim that the Reds scouts have checked on the Denmark international who plays as a left-back.
The report details that the 23-year-old has a £17million buy-out clause in the contract he signed in the summer when he moved to Betis from Brondby.
Durmisi has established himself as a regular starter at La Liga club Betis this season and has managed to overcome a knee injury picked up mid-season.
The full-back has made 20 appearances this campaign across all competitions and his side currently sit 13th-placed in the league table.

He has made 16 senior appearances for his nation Denmark and is heavily involved in their World Cup qualifiers.
Football Insider verdict:
If there is any position that Liverpool need to strengthen, then it’s certainly the left-back slot. They currently have James Milner doing a fantastic job their this campaign, but he has been playing out of position. The Reds also have Spaniard Alberto Moreno in their squad and he has proved to be unreliable during his time at Anfield. Durmisi is showing to be a consistent performer in La Liga and would certainly be able to compete for a starting slot in the full-back position. He has also become a regular at international level and looks to be an exciting prospect. However, Klopp would probably be best served chasing a player that already has Premier League experience as there is always an element of risk chasing a young player from Europe.
