Jurgen Klopp missed Liverpool’s latest training session on Wednesday after falling ill according to a statement by the club.
The official statement by the Reds stated that the German manager missed training on Wednesday after falling ill overnight and visiting a hospital, but did state Klopp was expected to return home Wednesday night.
However, it also said he might require further check-ups in the coming days.
The Sun reports that doctors at the hospital were said to have checked the 50-year-old out and determined that he would not need to stay in the hospital any longer.
There no word on what was wrong, but the Sun’s report does report that Klopp is feeling much better.
Liverpool in their statement asked for fans to respect Klopp and his family, as well other patient’s privacy during this time.
Klopp has suffered illness before during his time at the Reds, with him needing an appendix operation last February.
The German manager did not take much time off, and was in attendance for the game against West Ham days after his surgery.
However, illness did cause him to have to watch a game against Sunderland from his hospital bed.
