Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have urged Jude Bellingham to join Liverpool next year, sources have told Football Insider.

The Anfield duo used the England camp during the recent international break to tell the Borussia Dortmund sensation why Jurgen Klopp's team would be the perfect move for him.

Bellingham is believed to have laughed off the pleas and is flattered by the interest in his career plans from players he respects and admires.

Liverpool

Bellingham is emerging as one of the most coveted players in world football and has further enhanced his reputation for club and country this season.

There is a stampede of interest in the midfielder, 19, from clubs led by Liverpool and including Premier League rivals Man City, Chelsea and Man United as well as the leading teams on the Continent.

Bellingham has been identified by the Liverpool recruitment team as the dynamic central midfielder capture capable of spearheading the team to the next level.

Extensive talks have been held behind the scenes with the player's camp and Liverpool are confident they have laid the groundwork to a potential deal next year.

But the Merseysiders recognise that Bellingham's excellence and stellar form further complicates what was already an extremely complex transfer.

Bellingham had an outstanding 2021-22 campaign, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists from 44 appearances in all competitions.

He has carried that form into the new season and was outstanding in Dortmund's Champions League defeat to Man City before delivering a stellar display for England in their 3-3 thriller against Germany earlier this week.
