Senior Liverpool attacker agrees terms with top-tier rivals - report

By Amir Mir

Christian Benteke has agreed verbal terms with Crystal Palace, according to a report.

The Daily Mail claim the Liverpool striker is edging closer to a move to Selhurst Park after his representatives held positive talks with the London club.

The Belgium striker is currently on international duty at Euro 2016, but it is being reported that Jurgen Klopp does not see the targetman in his future plans which has resulted in his representatives talking to Palace officials this week.

The 25-year-old was signed by the Anfield club for £30million from Aston Villa last summer, but a lack of form and game time has seen his form and status dip at an alarming rate.

Benteke scored 42 goals in 89 appearances during his time at Villa, but that form dipped after his big money move to Anfield which saw him net on nine occasions in 29 games in all competitions for the club.
