Liverpool supporters react on Twitter to reported first teamer axe for Boro clash
By Amir Mir
Goalkeeper Loris Karius has reportedly been dropped by Liverpool for their clash against Middlesbrough on Wednesday night – and fans on Twitter believe Jurgen Klopp has made a big decision.
The Times claim that Klopp has made the huge call to drop German Karius and recall Belgian Simon Mignolet to the starting XI.
Karius has been under-fire in recent weeks, with his performances against West Ham and Bournemouth coming under scrutiny.
He was at fault as the Reds conceded a late goal to lose 4-3 to Eddie Howe’s side a fortnight ago, and he was under the spotlight once again in the 2-2 draw against the Hammers at the weekend.
This led to pundits such as Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher criticising his performances and fans on Social Media believe the correct call has been made to take him out of the limelight.

Another supporter added that Klopp has made a very risky decision, but said this is where the German earns his money.
However, there was one fan who felt that the decision to drop Karius from the starting line-up was the wrong choice.

he could do with being taken out of the limelight. He'll come back stronger #LFC

I see Klopp's point of getting Karius out of the spotlight, but it seems like he would be confident enough to deal with the criticism. #lfc

If karius has been dropped, it might actually do him good to take the pressure and spotlight off him for a couple of games #LFC

Karius dropped for tonight's match? Personally think it will take the bad spotlight and pressure off him, but I strongly doubt it. #LFC

Karius signed for the Merseyside club during the summer when he made a transfer from German outfit FC Mainz.
He has gone on to make 11 appearances in all competitions this term, keeping three clean sheets.
