Liverpool tipped to complete midfielder signing as Bissouma breaks silence on 'dream' transfer - pundit
Paul Robinson has tipped Liverpool to enter the transfer market for a centre-midfielder after Yves Bissouma opened the door on an exit from Brighton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England number one claimed Jurgen Klopp’s side are light in the middle of the park following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum in the summer.
Bissouma, 25, was strongly linked with a move to Anfield in the summer.
Speaking to club media (September 21), the midfielder revealed he is “happy” at Brighton but wants to play Champions League football.
Robinson believes Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans would be a better fit for the Reds.
“I think Tielemans would be a better option for Liverpool than Bissouma,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“Does Bissouma fit the bill for Klopp? I’m not so sure.
“They haven’t got a lot of money to spend, we saw that in the transfer window just gone.
“Wijnaldum played such a big part for them last season so naturally he will be missed.
“They are light in that area now so I do expect them to bring in another body in that position whether it be in January or next summer. It will be interesting to to see if Liveprool make moves in January.”
Speaking about his future, Bissouma said: “When my time will come, it’s my time, but I’m happy in Brighton, I’m enjoying playing football.
“My dream is like every player, I want to play in the Champions League, I want to be champions. I want to compare myself on the top level, not just with other players.”
