Liverpool are set to hold crunch talks over the future of Mohamed Salah at Anfield in the coming days, sources have told Football Insider.

Salah, who turns 32 next month, has just one year remaining on his current contract and the Merseysiders and the Egyptian superstar will make a joint decision on his future following the end of the season.

The talks will surround his immediate future and whether he will remain with the Merseyside club for the duration of his deal.

Liverpool to discuss Mohamed Salah future

Salah has been seen as the most high-profile target yet for the Pro League given his status as a Middle-East icon and one of the Premier League's outstanding players.

Having joined the Reds in 2017, Salah has been arguably the standout of the entire Jurgen Klopp era, scoring 211 goals and providing 89 assists in 348 appearances.

The Egyptian has broken multiple records, including becoming the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history, while winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Club World Cup.

With Klopp set to leave the club, mass changes are on the cards at Anfield, leaving many players questioning their positions and futures.

A new manager and an overhaul of the backroom staff, with Football Insider revealing that two more arrivals have been agreed upon, will likely see further changes take place.
