Liverpool to table £185K-a-week goal machine offer, deal to be done before World Cup - report
By Richard Parks
Liverpool are to offer Mohamed Salah a £185,000-a-week new contract as a reward for his extraordinary season, according to a report.
The Sun claim the Merseyside giants are ready to open talks with Salah, 25, to end any questions over his future following his sensational exploits that have put the team on the cusp of the Champions League final.
It is said that Liverpool’s American owners Fenway Sports Group are keen to tie down the goal machine, who has scored 43 goals in all competitions this season.
The Sun report that Salah is also in line for a contract extension that will run beyond the summer of 2022, when his current deal is due to expire.
The deal is expected to be done before the World Cup starts in June, where the forward will represent Egypt.

Football Insider verdict:
The numbers are ridiculous – 43 goals in all competitions with nearly a month of the season still remaining – and the performances are as jaw-droppingly astounding as the ice-cold finishing. FSG need to protect the value of the club’s major asset, and Salah is certainly that after becoming the talk of Europe following his sensational display to blow Roma away on Tuesday night. It was a performance that will go down in Liverpool folklore. But there is a sense that the best is yet to come for the Egyptian king. If he stays at Liverpool for the next half-decade, he could go down as a club legend. Get it done, as this is a deal that will reap dividends.
