Liverpool told 'unbelievable' Raphinha 'open' to Anfield move - pundit says he's perfect Salah successor
Paddy Kenny claims Raphinha is the perfect replacement for Mo Salah if he decides to leave Liverpool.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the Brazilian would be open to the move.
On Thursday (9 December), Liverpool Echo reported Anfield scouts are continuing to run the rule over Raphinha, 24.
However, it was claimed there is little chance of the Reds making a move in January.
Salah is fast approaching the final 18 months of his contract at Anfield.
If Salah was to leave Liverpool, Kenny claims the club would be hard-pressed to find a better replacement than Raphinha.

“He would be a great signing for Liverpool,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has shown the world what he can do over the last 12 months or so.
“If a time comes when Liverpool are preparing for life without Salah, he’s the one to go for.
“He has that quality and he’s proven he can hack it in the Premier League.
“He has been unbelievable for Leeds and they have really missed him when he’s been injured.
“I’m sure he would be open to that move as well. Listen, you don’t turn down Liverpool at the moment.
“Playing under Klopp at Anfield is a big opportunity to turn down.
“I hope he stays at Leeds for a bit longer but if Liverpool come knocking he will be off.”
Raphinha has bagged six goals in 13 Premier League appearances this season.
He joined Leeds from Rennes on 5 October 2020.
