Liverpool will not make January move for 23-year-old England ace - report

Liverpool will not make a move for Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in January, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo has claimed on it’s blog on Thursday 29 December 12.41pm that the Reds will not be making a move for the 23-year-old England international in the upcoming window.
The Guardian reported earlier on Thursday that the Merseyside giants were keeping “close tabs” on the young forward, who’s contract runs out in the summer of 2018.
However, that would not seem to be the case and the Echo reports that Chamberlain is not a target for Jurgen Klopp in the winter window.
Liverpool are not short on attacking options and currently boast the best goals for tally in the Premier League with 45 goals from their 18 league fixtures this season.

At full strength Klopp will likely line-up with a front three of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
However, Mane is heading to the AFCON in January with Senegal, leaving a gap on the right which is where Chamberlain is more natural to playing.
But, it is now likely that the young attacker will stay at the Emirates Stadium, or head out to a team in January that is not Liverpool.
Football Insider verdict:
Chamberlain would have been a quality signing for Liverpool in the winter window, but one thing he could not have been guaranteed in Merseyside is first team football. With Coutinho, Firmino and Mane currently occupying the front three positions it is likely that the young England international would have moved from the Emirates bench to the one at Anfield. The Reds will need a quality replacement for the departing Mane in January, but they should avoid shelling out on a player and maybe look at a younger alternative including Sheyi Ojo from their own ranks.
