Liverpool will now hoover up trophies as 'magnificent' deal agreed - pundit
Liverpool will win “many more” trophies before Jurgen Klopp leaves the club.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the German’s plans.
On Thursday (28 April) Liverpool announced Klopp has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.
The former Dortmund boss has Liverpool fighting for an unprecedented quadruple trophy haul this season.
He has already won the Champions League and Premier League with the club and McAvennie expects more silverware before Klopp leaves the club.
“It’s the best news Liverpool fans could have wanted,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He always said he was going to leave in a few years so it’s great he’s going to stay.
“It’s great for the Premier League as well. I think Pep will stay at Man City so this rivalry can continue.
“I think Liverpool might be the ones who start to win more, they are doing so well at the moment.
“They have so many incredible options to choose from, they will have this squad for years.
“There are man, many more trophies to come. It will be hard to get the quadruple but you never know.
“I think there are more leagues, maybe another Champions League. As I say, it’s magnificent news for Liverpool.”
Liverpool are next in action against Newcastle United on Saturday (30 April).
The Reds are the only Premier League side to accumulate more Premier League points than Eddie Howe’s side since the turn of the year.
