Liverpool would only sell Roberto Firmino on one condition after bid reported - pundit
Frank McAvennie has suggested Liverpool would only sell Roberto Firmino if the player pushed to leave the club.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-West Ham striker said the Reds will be “challenging on all fronts” next season which could convince Firmino, 30, to stay at Anfield.
According to Italian outlet TuttoJuve (24 July), Juventus made an offer of £20million for the forward.
The Italian giants are reportedly preparing another bid for the 30-year-old after their initial bid was rejected.
Firmino is entering the final 12 months of his contract with Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Brazil international joined the Merseyside club in 2015 from TSG Hoffenheim.

When asked if he thought Firmino would leave Liverpool, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I think Liverpool would want to keep him.
“Whether he wants to stay or go is another question.
“I think Jurgen Klopp would want to keep him because he’s been a go-to player for many seasons now. He’s been brilliant for Jurgen so I would think he would want to keep him.
“Getting rid of [Sadio] Mane and other players going out the door and [Diogo] Jota getting injured. Unless an offer came in and Firmino wanted to go, I don’t know why they would let him leave.
“Why would you want to go somewhere when you’re at a club that’s going to be challenging on all fronts? They’re going to push Man City and they’re going to challenge for the Champions League so why would you want to go somewhere else? “
