Liverpool plan new Michael Olise move as 'he could leave Bayern Munich'

Published on:

Liverpool could reignite their interest in signing Michael Olise amid whispers he could be set to leave Bayern Munich in 2027.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best players in world football following his move from Crystal Palace, and has attracted multiple high-profile suitors.

Andoni Iroala’s side have been long-term admirers of the France international and see him as their dream target as they aim to strengthen on the right-hand side.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool are poised to make a move for Olise if there are suggestions he could be available.

The Reds are believed to be keeping a close eye on his situation at Bayern Munich, although the Bundesliga giants continue to insist he will not be allowed to leave.

This comes as a result of his continued impressive performances both for Bayern and for France, with Real Madrid also believed to be keen to lure him away in the near future.

Could Liverpool make a move for Michael Olise?

Football Insider revaeled in April that Olise would be the "dream" signing for Liverpool as they continue their effors to replace Mohammed Salah following his summer exit.

There is a feeling at Anfield that the legendary Egypt winger has still not been adequately replaced, but landing the Bayern Munich star would be the perfect move.

While the deal had been ruled out during the summer, with Bayern not willing to entertain offers, there is a growing feeling he could move on in the near future.

"Michael Olise is an outstanding player, he's shown that for Bayern Munich and for France," Brown told Football Insider.

"He's being spoken about along with Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal as one of the front-runners for the Ballon d'Or, so it's no surprise there will be interest in him.

"He has shown in the past he can do it in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, so that's another box ticked as far as Liverpool are concerned.

"There have been whispers recently that he could leave Bayern Munich before too long, and obviously it's unlikely to happen in January, but it could be on the cards next summer.

"If Liverpool are given any indication that Olise could be available, I expect they will be all over it because he's somebody they've wanted for a long time."

How do Bayern Munich feel about losing Olise?

Bayern Munich has been pretty clear about their stance over Olise's future, even despite ongoing links with potential moves to Liverpool or Real Madrid in the last few months.

Football Insider revealed earlier this year that Bayern are relaxed about Olise's future and believe he will continue to be a key player under Vincent Kompany for some time.

However, recent reports have suggested things may not be so clear long-term, with the France international unlikely to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena beyond his current deal.

Olise is reportedly insisting any new deal includes a release clause, a negotiating tactic Crystal Palace fans will be all too familar with after his spell at Selhurst Park.

Bayern are reluctant to agree to any release clause, and as things stand, his current deal running until 2029 will dictate how Bayern address potential offers.
