Arne Slot was only sacked by Liverpool last week, but he could quickly be in line for a return to the Premier League.

Elsewhere in the English top-flight, Fulham are on the hunt for a new coach as Marco Silva edges closer to an exit.

The 48-year-old is set to leave Craven Cottage this month when his contract expires, and is in talks over a move to Benfica.

Now, one UK bookmaker has placed Slot as a potential outsider for the Fulham job at 10/1 odds, which were recently slashed.

The 47-year-old endured a tough 2025-26 campaign where he was unable to successfully defend Liverpool’s Premier League crown.

Arne Slot could have quick Premier League redemption arc

Despite Slot’s poor campaign at Liverpool this season, it was far from disastrous.

While the club were unable to win a trophy, they still finished fourth and qualified for the Champions League.

Nevertheless, the board still decided a change was needed, despite Slot winning the Premier League title in the 2024-25 campaign.

A move to Fulham could be a quick redemption arc for the Dutchman.

The Cottagers are a stable, mid-table side, who have always been on the cusp of Europe under Silva, and have regularly gone far in at least one of the domestic cups.

If Slot can deliver European football, or even win a trophy, it would no doubt heal his reputation.

It could even make Liverpool regret his dismissal if the appointment of Andoni Iraola does not work out at Anfield over the coming months.

Where did it go wrong for Slot at Liverpool?

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Slot lost much of his dressing room at Liverpool towards the end of the campaign.

Mohamed Salah shared a message on his social media, calling for change, where he highlighted the club’s style of play.

Sources indicate that many of Salah’s teammates shared his views and criticisms of Slot.

As a result, this no doubt helped contribute to his dismissal after a series of terrible results towards the end of the season.

If Slot is to get a new job soon, he must ensure that he does not lose the dressing room yet again, or he may not last very long at his next destination.
