Loan watch: Leeds midfielder continues to shine in impressive unbeaten run
By Harvey Byrne
Toumani Diagouraga is currently enjoying a successful time away from Leeds and has played a big role in Ipswich’s recent success.
The 29-year-old was completely frozen out at the Yorkshire giants under Garry Monk with his only appearance before the move coming in the opening day 3-0 defeat against QPR.
However, he has seemingly recaptured the form which provoked Leeds to sign him from Brentford in the January 2016 window.
The combative midfielder featured once more on Saturday as the Tractor Boys earned a late 1-1 draw against Barnsley with a stoppage time Tom Lawrence winner cancelling out a Marley Watkins effort.
Diagouraga lasted 52 minutes out on the Oakwell field before being replaced by Grant Ward with Mick McCarthy making an attempt to field a more attacking team.

The match meant Ipswich have still not lost with Diagouraga in their team with a personal unbeaten run for the player extending to an impressive eight appearances.
It is clear that Diagouraga is not a part of Monk’s plans in the future with each of Ronaldo Vieira, Liam Bridcutt and Eunan O’Kane excelling while promotion to the Premier League is still possible.
However, if the player continues to impress he could earn a move to another Championship side as he enters the final year of his contract at the Yorkshire giants in the summer.
