Luis Figo: I love watching these two Tottenham players in action
By Richard Parks
Portugal all-time great Luis Figo has revealed that he “loves” watching Tottenham stars Harry Kane and Dele Alli in action as he explained the pressures of performing at a club like Real Madrid.
Former Real star Figo is a big admirer of Spurs’ attacking duo but pointed out that it is one thing playing for the Londoners and another delivering the goods at the Spanish club, widely regarded as the biggest on the planet.
The Portugese, who was at one stage the world’s most expensive player and winner of the 2002 Champions League with Madrid, gave some insight into the differences between the clubs as he analysed Kane and Alli.
“They are very good players, top players, but one thing is to play for Tottenham and the other thing is to play for Real Madrid, you know?” said Figo, as quoted by the Evening Standard.
“And this is not missing of respect of Tottenham. It is what is like. Real Madrid is different, eh?
“In terms of pressure… because it’s a lot of pressure too. Of course Kane is fantastic and Dele Alli too and I love to see them play and they’re doing fantastic.
“But Tottenham is a big club too, so I don’t know if the president of Tottenham is open to selling them.”
Tottenham have consistently maintained that they do not need to sell any key players, which would certainly apply to the England internationals, ahead of their move to their new stadium next season.
In other Tottenham news, it can be revealed the club are working on deals to sign up FIVE players, with three agreements virtually nailed on.
