Luka Vuskovic already has a huge decision to make on his Tottenham Hotspur future, and it shouldn’t be one that is rushed this summer.

The talented centre-back has spent the entire 2025-26 campaign on loan at Hamburg, boasting six goals in 27 Bundesliga games, and attracting a lot of attention from around Europe.

Spurs supporters have been waiting patiently for the 19-year-old to return to England, having not made any appearances for the Lilywhites since his £12million move from Hajduk Split.

Vuskovic must now decide on his future, with Spurs keen to award the young defender with a new contract based on his success on loan, but he can’t be distracted by any promises from Roberto De Zerbi.

That is likely to come with a bumper new salary, showcasing how much the club believe in him, but there are multiple destinations where the youngster can discover an equilibrium, rather than absolute chaos.

At such a young age, moving across Europe yet again would be a huge risk, but likely one that he needs to make, given the constant issues emerging at Tottenham this season.

There will be no shortage of interest in his signature. He needs to take advantage of that, rather than put pen to paper on a brand-new deal ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
