Romelu Lukaku has congratulated Gareth Barry on marking his 600th Premier League appearance, as he praised Everton for picking up three points against Middlesbrough.
The Toffees came from behind to beat Aitor Karanka’s Boro side 3-1 at Goodison Park on Saturday evening and lift them to within only two points of leaders Manchester City.
Lukaku, who scored his fourth goal of the season against Boro, praised his team’s performance and Barry’s landmark occasion.
“First of all congrats Gareth on your 600th appearance in the Premier League,” Lukaku wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Happy with the win onto the next game.”

Maarten Stekelenburg scored an own goal early on in the first-half to give the visitors the lead at Goodison Park.
However, Barry marked his 600th game with a goal following a corner minutes later, before Seamus Coleman and Lukaku added a second and a third before half-time.
Ronald Koeman’s side are unbeaten in their opening five Premier League fixtures, with the Merseyside club having recorded four consecutive wins.
The Toffees host Championship side Norwich on Tuesday night in the EFL Cup, before travelling for a Premier League clash against Bournemouth next Saturday.
