Major Tottenham blow as attacker ruled out for weeks
By Dominic Toner
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that Erik Lamela will be sidelined for another couple of weeks.
The 24-year-old has missed the club’s last seven games in all competitions as he recovers from a serious hip injury, which has kept him out for longer than initially expected.
Pochettino’s side have won just two of those games and are now seven points adrift of table toppers Chelsea in the Premier League title race.
Pochettino revealed that Lamela is “still out for a couple of weeks” ahead of their Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, as cited by ESPN correspondent Dan Kilpatrick’s Twitter account.
Poch on Lamela: "We hope it's no too bad. We send our support. But he's still out [injured] for a couple of weeks."

Lamela is now set to miss at least another four games in an extremely busy December period for Spurs.

They face three Premier League games in seven days after their European match against CSKA, with matches against Manchester United, Hull and Burnley.
The north London club have operated with Christian Eriksen and Heung-Min Son on the wings, but the pair have only just returned to good form in the last two matches.
Lamela will continue to be a huge miss for the side and he offers a unique creative spark in the midfield.
The attacking midfielder has made 14 appearances this season, scoring two goals and supplying seven assists.
He is often accused by the club’s fans of being too inconsistent, but he has shown this season what an important player he is when available.
