'Make sure he stays' - Candeias wants in-demand attacker to commit to Rangers
Daniel Candeias wants his Rangers team-mate Alfredo Morelos to stay at Ibrox as it will only improve him as a player.
The attacker was the subject of plenty of speculation last season, with the 22-year-old being linked with a move to China.
But Candeias feels the Colombian’s game will improve much more by staying at taking part in Steven Gerrard’s upcoming Ibrox revolution.
“He is important to Rangers and he is very happy now” he said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“He is working hard and I think he will have a good season.
“I have told him to make sure he stays. I’ve told him it is important for the team.

“I think this moment is for Rangers and I think he will only get better.”
Morelos scored 18 goals for the Gers last season, after moving to Ibrox from HJK.
Football Insider verdict
It would be a big boost for Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox revolution if Alfredo Morelos was still at Rangers at the start of the season. He was one of the Gers’ best players last season, and was one of the few to improve their game in what turned out to be an awful season. The Gers will be hoping that the constant speculation of last season doesn’t occur again this season, as it did affect his game, especially after the rumours linking him with a move to China. But Morelos is too important to the current Gers side to be allowed to leave without a replacement forward being brought in by Gerrard and Mark Allen. Morelos is still only young and can improve his game, and Gerrard will be wanting him to play a main role for the Gers going forward in their attempt to make a run at the league title next season.
