Man City have agreed a deal to sign Girona star Savio this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that the Citizens are set to bring the winger to the Etihad this summer following his excellent performances in La Liga.

There has been no formal confirmation as of yet but it is believed a full agreement is in place for Savio to join at the end of the season.

Girona is a member of the City Football Group, the holding company that owns 100 per cent of Man City and 47 per cent of the Spanish outfit.

Savio, 19, has had a standout season at Girona having bagged 10 goals and seven assists so far in all competitions.

He is currently on loan from Ligue 2 side Troyes, another of the City Football Group's clubs, but is set to link up with Pep Guardiola's side for the new season.

While he has not made a senior appearance for Troyes, he has had a loan spell at Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven in the 2022-23 season.

Savio has been a huge part of Girona's incredible campaign in the Spanish top flight.

They were recently at the top of the league but now sit second, one point ahead of third-place Barcelona and seven points behind Real Madrid.

He is predominantly a left-winger but has been fielded at left midfield and attacking midfield this season.

City have benefitted the multi-club ownership model by sending many of their young assets to clubs in the same group, including Yangel Herrera to Girona on loan last season before his permanent move this summer.
