Man City should be 'worried' after journalist's update on Pep Guardiola's future - Campbell
Kevin Campbell has claimed Man City fans should be “worried” by Pep Guardiola’s contract situation.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker suggested there is a distinct possibility that the 51-year-old “walks at the end of the season.”
Guardiola has entered the final year of his contract at the Etihad.
According to the Daily Mail‘s Jack Gaughan (6 November), the City boss is expected to decide on his future, and whether to put pen to paper on a new deal, during the World Cup.
It is said that Guardiola’s wife, Cristina, will have a huge say in what decision is taken.
When asked by Football Insider if it was inevitable that Guardiola would pen a new deal at the Etihad, Campbell said: “I’m not sure it is.

“It has gone quite quiet. He should not be allowed to get down to the final seven months of his contract. If I was a Man City fan I would be worried.
“At the end of the day, he may walk at the end of the season. Guardiola is the key to everything. Right now, he is not secure.
“From a player’s and a fan’s point of view, it is a concern. There is an element of doubt.
“Listen, he might sign a new deal in the break. But there is a serious risk of things being unsettled.”
