Eintracht Frankfurt will demand £50-60million to sell Omar Marmoush in January amid interest from Man City, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that City are the latest top club to take an interest in the 25-year-old after his excellent start to the Bundesliga season.

Marmoush has scored ten goals and provided six assists in just nine league games so far, including a brace in a 3-3 draw against Bayern Munich.

The Egypt international is thought to be keen to make the step up to an elite club where he can compete for trophies and play in the Champions League.

However, sources say the striker will only leave Frankfurt if he is guaranteed regular game time, which has put a dent in Man City's ambitions.

The German outfit are also extremely reluctant to let him leave halfway through the season, leading interested clubs to line up big-money offers for the end of the season.

Marmoush had been courted by Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window, but the club were unable to convince him to move to England.

However, such has been the speed of his rise to the top of the game, some of Europe's elite clubs have now taken an interest in his signature.

Liverpool have also taken an interest in the forward to bolster their front line if Mohamed Salah decides to leave upon the expiry of his contract in 2025.

City have been assessing their options to bolster the depth in their forward line behind Erling Haaland, and Marmoush's form has put him near the top of their list of targets.

However, as things stand, Frankfurt are unlikely to entertain talks in January as Marmoush is regarded as their most important player as they look to remain competitive in all competitions.
