Man United could be set to offer Amad Diallo a more integral role in the first team next season after impressing Erik ten Hag in recent months.

Speaking exclusively on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson suggested the Ivorian could feature more in 2024-25 in the process of a "mini-rebuild" at Old Trafford.

Football Insider revealed on 18 June that Man United have decided to keep Diallo and include him as part of the club's plans moving forward, though contract talks will have to accelerate with the 21-year-old having just a year left to run on his current deal - plus a club option of a further year.

After being denied a desired loan return in January to Sunderland, where he was a success in 2022-23, Diallo was gradually offered more game time - of his nine Premier League starts last season, seven came in the final two months.

Man United to increase Amad Diallo responsibility

As Diallo looks to pick up next season where he left off from an individual perspective, Robinson believes the transition period at Old Trafford will allow him further opportunities.

"He could be [integral]," the ex-Three Lions man stated.

"He's obviously repaid the faith the manager has shown in him.

"There's going to be kind of a 'mini-rebuild' at Man United isn't there, obviously, with players coming and going.

"He's still such a young player, he's had a couple of decent loans, and he could well come into the side in a key role and play a lot more than he did [last] season.

"He's a winger who can come off the right or the left - either side - and he's a player for the future at Manchester United.

"If they're looking the way of restructuring, [Diallo] will have a big say in things going forward."
