Man United winger Amad Diallo is in advanced talks to agree a new long-term contract at the club, sources have told Football Insider.

Diallo’s current deal is up at the end of the season but United have the option to extend it a further 12 months.

The 22-year-old is expected to reach a full agreement on a long-term deal before the end of December.

The Ivory Coast international is finally living up to his huge reported £37million price tag after establishing himself as a regular following his recent rapid development.

He has already made 20 appearances across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign after making just 12 last term.

Diallo has notched three goals and five assists in those outings.

The winger has featured in all four games under new boss Ruben Amorim since he succeeded Ruud van Nistelrooy last month.

Diallo expected to agree Man United deal this month

He was reintegrated into the Man United squad last season after thriving on loan at Championship side Sunderland in the previous campaign.

The 22-year-old is now challenging academy product and fan favourite Alejandro Garnacho for a first-team berth at Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are all also out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
