Man City player with 38% completion among trio who should be axed vs Ipswich
Pep Guardiola's fairytale return to the Etihad Stadium was anything but, as Manchester City were put to the sword by PSG.
Stefan Borson warned that the Catalan's appearance at the Champions League clash could be a distraction, and he might have been right.
Man City were three goals down after just 32 minutes, with Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha all taking advantage early on.
Erling Haaland netted in the 53rd minute to reduce the deficit, only for Maghnes Akliouche's shot to loop into the back of the net after what appeared to be an incredible save by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Haaland grabbed a second before Ferran Torres missed a penalty in the last 15 minutes, so the score could have been even more wild.
It was far from the ideal home performance, and Enzo Maresca will be expected to make changes for Ipswich Town on Saturday, 17 October.
Ruben Dias
Maresca needed to make changes at half-time, and one of them was sacrificing Ruben Dias in the centre of defence.
While he is captain, that should not mean he's totally untouchable, and Vitor Reis deserves a chance to impress against the Tractor Boys.
Abdukodir Khusanov
Although moving him into the middle of defence could also work, resting Abdukodir Khusanov could also be a sensible idea at the Etihad.
In 90 minutes, he certainly struggled, being dribbled past three times, winning just 62 per cent of his ground duels, and creating no chances from full-back [FotMob].
Matheus Nunes more than proved himself at right-back. With two chances created, one of which was big, in just 45 minutes [FotMob], he must start against Ipswich.
Jeremy Doku
With so many attacking options at Man City, if one player fails to impress, there's another player waiting to take their spot in the next game.
Against PSG, Jeremy Doku was kept quiet, creating just one chance, completing just 38 per cent of his dribbles, and losing 56 per cent of his ground duels [FotMob].
He has been far more impressive off the bench, and if he does play against Ipswich, it needs to be as a substitute, rather than a starter.
