Ruben Dias can play key role in Man City deal to sign PSG gem
Manchester City are one of many clubs in the hunt to sign Paris Saint-Germain gem Ibrahim Mbaye this summer.
Aston Villa's interest has been well documented, as well as Tottenham Hotspur and RB Leipzig, and an exit from PSG looks inevitable.
While Man City no longer have Pep Guardiola at the helm to entice new signings, Enzo Maresca is crafting his own plans for the years ahead.
The Etihad Stadium has been a breeding ground for young talent, and that could be about to continue by signing one of Africa's biggest talents.
Of course, the Citizens will have to fend off interest for the 18-year-old's signature, especially after his displays at the 2026 World Cup.
His highlight, understandably, would be scoring against France in the group stages, but the Senegal international would have loved to have reached further.
Ibrahim Mbaye's agent to play key role this summer
Now, with the World Cup all but finished, and just Spain and Argentina to face off in the final, attention has turned back to the summer transfer window.
Maresca may actually have a secret weapon up his sleeve, not only in the shape of Ruben Dias, but also Matheus Nunes and Nico Gonzalez.
The trio are represented by the same agency as Mbaye - Jorge Mendes' Gestifute - and that connection could be vital if Man City are to get a deal across the line.
There should be no doubts over the Mbaye's talents, and it shouldn't take a genius to work out that the youngster is worth taking a punt on.
If the PSG gem were to ask any of Dias, Nunes or Gonzalez, they would likely give glowing reviews of their time at Man City, whether they've played a starring role or just gained a wealth of knowledge.
Why Unai Emery presents a threat to Man City
While none of Villa's players currently share the same agency, the same cannot be said for their manager, Unai Emery.
The Spaniard, also represented by Gestifute, has been tipped to make a move for the 18-year-old, and it would certainly be a sensible move.
Emery is at serious risk of losing Morgan Rogers to Arsenal this summer, so the Villans will be desperate for more firepower in the final third.
While John McGinn, Emi Buendia, Ollie Watkins and Tammy Abraham are more than talented enough, they'd be losing a huge playmaker to bond them altogether.
