Stefan Borson: Man City could sell three more stars for 'a lot of money' after Savinho and Tijjani Reijnders go

Enzo Maresca could bid farewell to more than just Savinho and Tijjani Reijnders in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.

That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that three more players are having their futures questioned.

Man City have signed Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga and Geronimo Rulli so far in this window, and it was believed that Enzo Fernandez would join that group.

There has certainly been a big focus on exits at the Etihad Stadium, especially after James Trafford's record-breaking move to Leeds United.

Savinho and Reijnders expected to be next through the doors, as well as Rodri, and there could be more business being struck before the window slams shut.

The Citizens kick off their 2026-27 campaign against Arsenal in the Community Shield, but another 16 days remain until the window closes.

Three more Man City exits are 'worth a lot of money'

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson predicts a lot more movement at the Etihad Stadium, especially when it comes to Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez and Rico Lewis.

"Tijjani Reijnders will go, that's £50m. And I think the Savinho situation will come to a head this weekend," he said.

"There's still, I think, questions mark over probably [Nico] Gonzalez [Omar] Marmoush and Rico Lewis, in particular. And together, those players are worth a lot of money.

"So I think there's still a lot of business that's going to get done, but probably at the lower end, the sub-£50m level after these deals happen that we're talking about with City."

Both Bernardo Silva and John Stones left earlier in the window, but having departed as free agents, Man City failed to get a fee for either of them.

Players who could make a resurgence under Enzo Maresca

All three aforementioned players might be keen to play under the new manager, though his recent quotes don't spell good news for Marmoush.

Gonzalez will be hoping for more minutes, especially if Rodri leaves for Barcelona, while supporters are desperate for Phil Foden to spark back to life.

Rayan Ait-Nouri appears to have really enjoyed himself during pre-season, netting against K-League All Stars and Atletico Madrid, while Vitor Reis could land a bigger role.

Several players will be ready for fresh starts as Maresca's era begins at the Etihad, but some of these could be about to secure moves elsewhere instead.
