Man United land guaranteed £37m after securing Champions League qualification
Manchester United are guaranteed to land more than £37million after qualifying for the Champions League.
The 20-time English champions secured their place in the elite European club competition following their 3-2 victory over Liverpool last weekend.
Man United will finish at least fifth in the Premier League table, but they are currently on course to end the campaign in third place.
Michael Carrick has overseen an impressive run of form since replacing Ruben Amorim in January, having won 10 of his 14 games in charge at Old Trafford.
Man United’s financial situation is set for a healthy boost as a result of their qualification for the Champions League.
How Man United can boost their matchday revenue next season
Man United’s latest accounts for 2024-25 showed their matchday income was £160.3m last season.
That means the Manchester giants generated around £5.3m per game from their 30 home matches across all competitions.

There have been 10 fewer fixtures played at Old Trafford this season due to the lack of European football and disappointing performances in the domestic cups.
The figure will rise again next season as Man United will play four Champions League home matches across the campaign, adding at least £21.2m to their matchday revenue.
However, that number is likely to be higher given the increase in ticket prices for the European fixtures.
Meanwhile, clubs competing in the Champions League also earn £16.1m purely for participating, taking Man United’s guaranteed payout to more than £37m for 2026-27.
That figure will increase depending on how the Red Devils perform on the pitch, with significant prize money on offer and Uefa’s value pillar payments providing a further boost.

Old Trafford chiefs now have a decision to make around their managerial situation after qualifying for the Champions League.
Carrick is expected to be appointed on a permanent basis following his side’s performances over the past few months.
Andoni Iraola, Oliver Glasner and Julian Nagelsmann have been named as potential options, but Carrick remains the overwhelming favourite.
Man United now have three games left to play to nail down third place in the Premier League table.
The first of those fixtures sees them travel to the North East to take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday (9 May).
