Manchester United supporters are desperately waiting for Gabriele Biancheri to burst onto the scene at Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old has yet to make his first-team debut, but he is consistently featuring at a higher level than many others, while also going on loan last term.

He made 11 appearances for Rotherham United in 2025-26, with only two of them starts in League One. Though he failed to register a goal contribution, it was a key experience for the young striker.

Many Wales fans have sung Biancheri's praises, with Craig Bellamy often being urged to promote him on the international stage, and Michael Carrick has the chance to meet those requests at club level.

Despite the 2026 World Cup still being in full flow, the 2026-27 campaign is already on the horizon, with just days until pre-season friendlies kick off.

Multiple of Man United's biggest stars are still away at this summer's tournament, opening the door for youngsters to make their mark for the Red Devils.

Gabriele Biancheri could feature in friendly vs Wrexham

According to the Daily Mail, the likes of Toby Collyer, Harry Amass and Radek Vitek are all training with the senior squad ahead of the game against Wrexham on Saturday, 18 July.

And all that stands between Biancheri and a chance at stardom next season is the manager. There is no mention of the Wales youth international, but he deserves that opportunity.

Ultimately, another loan deal is the likeliest outcome for the 19-year-old, who notched seven goals and five assists for United's Under-21s last season.

During last summer's pre-season tour, the likes of Shea Lacey, Sekou Kone, Jack Moorhouse and Reece Munro were all give chances. Now it's Biancheri's turn.

Supporters have been raving about the youngster, who has been featuring for the U21s for the last three seasons, but Carrick currently holds the key to his success.

Biancheri has already persuaded one senior figure at Old Trafford

Carrick is unlikely to have had much of a chance to see Biancheri in action just yet, having only returned in January, but now is the best opportunity.

If the new boss is yet to be convinced, technical director Jason Wilcox may be able to have a major role in the young forward's next steps at Old Trafford.

Back in 2024, the Daily Mail revealed that coaches and scouts were "salivating" at his talents, with Wilcox amongst those keeping a close eye.

A quick word in the manager's ear this summer, and Biancheri's career could be about to burst into life following an interesting loan in League One.
