Jadon Sancho has 'two offers' on the table weeks after Man United exit
Borussia Dortmund have been backed to make Jadon Sancho a final offer despite a growing expectation he could move to Saudi Arabia.
The Bundesliga outfit remain strong admirers of the 26-year-old, who left Man United upon the expiry of his contract in June, following his two previous spells at the club.
A number of Premier League clubs continue to be linked with the England international as well, but are unlikely to follow up their interest amid concerns about his attitude.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Sancho would be "lucky" to return to Dortmund and a move to the Saudi Pro League is still most likely.
The winger's lofty wage demands have priced him out of moves elsewhere, and there are doubts about whether he would be willing to take a cut in order to stay in Europe.
Dortmund, however, feel he can be convinced and a return to the Bundesliga could be his best option from a playing perspective.
Could Borussia Dortmund return for Jadon Sancho?
Brown first told Football Insider back in June that Dortmund have been keeping a close eye on Sancho's situation and could offer him the chance to return to Germany.
Having lifted the Europa League with Aston Villa in a mixed spell for him under Unai Emery, there is a growing feeling a return to the Bundesliga could be a possibility.
However, much will depend on whether he is willing to adjust his wage demands, and a move to the Middle East is more likely if not.
"Jadon Sancho would be very lucky if he ends up back at Borussia Dortmund," Brown told Football Insider.
"They clearly think highly of him after his time there before, and I've heard they might be willing to make him an offer, which would be the ideal move for him from a playing standpoint.
"A lot of that, as I understand it, was down to his wage demands and I expect there will be a similar problem when it comes to Dortmund.
"So I still think a move to Saudi Arabia is going to be most likely for him, because they're the only ones who might get close to the sort of wages he is asking for.
"I certainly can't see him getting another Premier League move, so it's either going to be Dortmund and a pay cut, or Saudi Arabia. They're the two offers for him."
Why did Aston Villa opt against signing Sancho?
Sancho spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, where he played a role in Emery's side winning the Europa League, before they decided against signing him permanently.
The Villans were given the opportunity to sign Sacnho on a permanent deal following the end of his loan, but ultimately opted to look elsewhere as new concerns arose.
Brown told Football Insider back in July that Aston Villa had pulled the plug on talks to sign Sancho as they would not get close to his lofty wage demands.
Villa had been keen to explore the possibility of a permanent deal after his Man United contract expired in June, but it quickly became clear a deal would not be possible.
That decision echoed that of Chelsea the previous year, and will likely remain a sticking point for any other interested Premier League clubs at this stage.
