Manchester United are now all but out of the race to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye as Al-Hilal pursue a big-money move, sources have told Football Insider.
Ndiaye has been on United's transfer shortlist for over 12 months now after consistently impressing for Everton.
Michael Carrick has identified his left-wing position as one that needs bolstering this summer.
Ndiaye has remained a target for the Red Devils up to now, but Everton are demanding around £75million for his services.
Saudi club Al-Hilal lead the race for his signature, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, they are willing to pay more and offer a bigger wage package to land the Senegal star.
Ndiaye's next move looks set to hinge on his own personal aims, after his father revealed that he is prioritising staying in Europe for now.

Al-Hilal are lining up an official offer for Ndiaye as they look to lure him to the Middle East at just 26-years-old.
He has rejected multiple contract offers from Everton since the turn of the year, meaning an exit looks likely as United fall behind in the transfer chase.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Manchester United are admirers of Ndiaye and they are looking to strengthen that wide left position if they can, but I don't think they'll be able to compete with Al-Hilal when it comes down to wages.
"Ideally, United wouldn't want to have to pay £75million for the Senegal star either, so as things stand right now, Al-Hilal are in the box seat to sign the former Marseille man."

The Welsh full-back registered five goal contributions in 37 Premier League appearances and was named Forest's Player of the Season for 2025-26, meaning he is on the radar of several top clubs this summer.
