Marcus Rashford is unlikely to join Fenerbahce as he plans to continue playing in a top-five European league, sources have told Football Insider.

The Turkish giants have registered their interest in making an ambitious move to sign Rashford before the end of the transfer window.

His future at Man United remains uncertain as he returns to pre-season training under Michael Carrick in the next few days.

It is unclear whether Carrick wants him to stay at the club, with Rashford keeping his options open as it stands.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he is not planning to push for a move to Fenerbahce, with a move to a better league still likely if he leaves Old Trafford.

He was keen to stay at Barcelona after an impressive loan spell, but they decided against triggering his option-to-buy clause or pursuing another permanent deal.

Rashford is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs right now, including Tottenham and Aston Villa.

He proved his quality after a tough time at United by registering 14 goals and 11 assists in 49 appearances for Barca last season.

He has been targeted by Fenerbahce, but is not looking to join a Super Lig side at 28-years-old, with a move to another top league in the offing if he leaves Old Trafford again.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "I would say it's highly unlikely. He's been linked in the past with moves to Turkey, but the player has never really indicated a desire to move to Turkey at this stage of his career."

The left flank is a priority for Carrick to bolster this month, with Rashford's potential sale possibly set to add to their funds for new signings.

Patrick Dorgu is now seen as an option on the left wing, with Nottingham Forest star Williams emerging as a top target for the Red Devils at left-back.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Oliver Glasner wants Williams to sign a new contract soon to ward off interest from United.
