Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly on Manchester United's list of targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

The winger has enjoyed a fantastic season for Everton, who remain in contention for European football.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed an interesting path to the top, playing for non-league side Boreham Wood's Under-19s just seven years ago.

In the time since, Ndiaye moved to Sheffield United's academy, before making his way through to the first team and impressing massively in the Championship.

After a brief spell at Marseille, Everton spent £15million to sign the Senegal international, who is now attracting the eyes of Man United's transfer chiefs for a deal that will likely extend to at least triple that fee.

Football Insider exclusively revealed this month that Everton will not entertain offers for Ndiaye this summer, with decision-makers having already reportedly rejected £40m last summer.

The winger is said to be happy at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and certainly will be content if the Toffees qualify for Europe.

Yet the prospect of a mammoth-sized bid arriving remains on the table, with Everton's resolve yet to face a more sturdy test.

That scenario could play out this summer, with Sky Sports reporting on Wednesday that Ndiaye is a target of Man United.

The Red Devils are monitoring the Senegal international among several players as they look for a winger in the summer.

Talented RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande is reportedly also on the list, but competition and potential expenditure could see Man United turn to Ndiaye.

Ndiaye has spoken about Old Trafford

It is no secret that many Premier League players dream of adorning the Man United shirt at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are an iconic outfit, and while Ndiaye has not gone as far as to say he supported the club, he has spoken of his admiration of Old Trafford.

Asked by Fotmob in February about his favourite stadium to play in, the Everton winger said: "Favourite stadium I've played in is Old Trafford. The atmosphere, the size.

"When we were growing up, this was the stadium we wanted to play in."

Ndiaye could make that boyhood wish a reality this summer, although he may prefer to keep his visits to the away dressing room.
