Manor Solomon could still have future at Tottenham, he had Crystal Palace on strings
Manor Solomon’s Tottenham Hotspur fortunes could change for the better next season following the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi.
Of course, there is no guarantee that the former Brighton boss will be in charge if Spurs are relegated from the Premier League this season, and that could be another reason that Solomon survives next term.
The 26-year-old, who is currently on loan at Fiorentina this season, has notched two goals in 12 games since January, having also spent temporary spells with Leeds United and Villarreal.
Most supporters expected Solomon to return to Tottenham permanently after notching 10 goals and 13 assists in Leeds’ Championship-winning campaign, but not even Thomas Frank was impressed enough.

Italian media were incredibly impressed by the winger’s performance against Crystal Palace on Thursday, 16 April, and he should have grabbed some attention back at Hotspur Way as well.
The loanee laid the ball off for Cher Ndour’s long-range strike, a goal which was eventually the winner on the night, but not enough for Fiorentina to advance to the next round of the Europa Conference League.
But he did so much more than grab an assist, with Solomon causing issues for the Eagles all night, especially for Daniel Munoz, who continues to be linked with a move up the Premier League table.

If the Israeli international can produce the goods against Oliver Glasner’s side in Europe, there is no reason why he can’t have similar displays in the Premier League, or possibly the Championship, next season.
What could his return mean for Tottenham’s other forwards?
Right now, De Zerbi is playing Richarlison out of position on the left flank, with Wilson Odobert injured and Mathys Tel benched against Sunderland.
Spurs also have Mikey Moore to return from his loan at Rangers, where the 18-year-old has recorded six goals and three assists in 42 appearances north of the border.
Rangers hope to sign Moore permanently, Mick Brown told Football Insider, but the Lilywhites’ battle to stay in the Premier League could have huge repercussions on what next season’s squad looks like.
Nothing can be guaranteed given the club’s current situation, but what is certain is that Solomon deserves another chance to prove himself in North London after slicing through Palace on Thursday night.
