Marcus Rashford told to 'get out' of Man United after £45m reveal - pundit
Noel Whelan has urged Marcus Rashford to “get out” of Man United amid transfer interest from Arsenal.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 24-year-old “needs a change” after struggling for form at Old Trafford this season.
A recruitment source told Football Insider on Thursday (28 April) that Arsenal have registered their interest in a deal for Rashford.
The Gunners have set aside £45million to recruit a new star striker and the Man United ace is among their top targets.
Whelan insisted Rashford needs a change of scenery after “such a bad season” with the Red Devils.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “Right now, when I look at Marcus Rashford, he doesn’t look like a player that is going to complement anybody. It’s just been such a bad season at Man United.

“Where does he play? Is he a wide player, is he a centre-forward? The conversation was on Thursday night with Roy Keane and I think he’s absolutely right. I don’t know what he is.
“I’m not entirely sure where Rashford’s best position is. Right now, we’re not seeing the Rashford we saw two years ago. That’s the problem, he needs to get his mojo back.
“He needs a change. I think he needs to get out of that football club whether a new manager comes in or not. He definitely needs to move.”
Rashford has played 32 times across all competitions this season, with just five goals and two assists under his belt.
He has started nine out of his 18 Premier League appearances under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
