Mark Lawrenson predicts West Brom v Liverpool

By Dominic Toner

Mark Lawrenson has backed Liverpool to win when they travel to West Brom on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Reds will face the Baggies at the Hawthorns and will be keen to continue their strong form.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten in their last six league games and have won four times during that run.

BBC pundit Lawrenson has tipped a 2-0 scoreline favour in Liverpool’s favour and feels eight-placed West Brom don’t have too much to play for now.

“Klopp will have to get his selection right this time but I fancy Liverpool to get a win here,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport. “West Brom have just started to struggle for goals again and, with no wins in four, there is a danger their season could peter out.”

Liverpool will be desperate for maximum points at the weekend as they look to consolidate their spot in the top-four places.

The Reds are currently third-placed in the league table and are aiming to qualify for the Champions League.

However, they face tough competition from the likes of Manchester City, United and Arsenal behind them.

Liverpool recorded a 2-1 victory over West Brom at Anfield in the previous meeting this season and would love a repeat scoreline this time around.
