Arsene Wenger has revealed that star Mesut Ozil will take part in Arsenal training on Thursday despite reports of him suffering a back injury.
The 28-year-old was reported to have missed Monday’s FA Cup game with Sutton due to back spasms but in an interview with the London Evening Standard Wenger shrugged off those rumours and said that he will be taking part in training on Thursday and he is expected to be fit for next week’s game against Liverpool.
The Arsenal boss added that Ozil was involved in a training session on Monday for players who weren’t going to make the trip to Sutton.
He then had some time off and he decided to go on a short break to Germany and Turkey.
“He practised in a session at London Colney [on Monday] and then we have two days off – Tuesday and Wednesday,” Wenger told to the London Evening Standard.

“We are in on Thursday and he will be in like everybody else.”
Ozil has come under increased scrutiny from Arsenal fans for under-performing in the club’s fixtures with bigger sides.
During last week’s 5-1 humiliation to Bayern Munich, the German playmaker went missing and received a barrage of criticism from the supporters.
The former Real Madrid and Schalke player has made 29 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this season, scoring nine goals and setting up eight.
Ozil has failed to score a goal since the beginning of November and out of his five goals and assists in the league this season, only one of those goals and one assist has been against a side in the top seven.
