With Stoke second bottom in the league table, they will be vying for a victory to keep any hopes alive that they can sustain their place in the division.
Victory for the Hammers, could, depending on the scoreline push them up to 12th and all but mathematically secure their Premier League status.
Football Insider verdict:
This is great news for the Hammers to have two of their most influential players back for the final few games of the season will undoubtedly be a boost and help push them on. The Argentinian attacker hasn’t featured since the start of March, while Carroll has endured yet another injury-ravaged campaign and hasn’t played a minute of first-team action since January. Should David Moyes hand the 29-year-old his first start in months it’s likely his inclusion will see Javier Hernandez drop down to the substitutes bench.
