Paul Robinson has tipped West Ham manager David Moyes to drop Arthur Masuaku for the visit of Brighton on Wednesday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League goalkeeper is adamant Jarrod Bowen, 24, will return to the starting XI for the Premier League clash.

Masuaku, 28, replaced Bowen in the starting XI for the trip to Manchester City on Sunday.

As quoted by Football.London (28th November), David Moyes revealed his decision was down to getting the balance of the team right defensively.

Moyes added that he felt his call was justified by his side's performance.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on Bowen being benched, Robinson said: "He came on after 75 minutes or so.

"I think it was just a case of Moyes freshening things up a little bit.

"Bowen has been brilliant this season. I don't think he is going to be frozen out of the starting XI now.

"I expect him to come back in against Brighton, probably for Masuaku. Moyes probably just want to change things up against City.

"This is why you have a squad. I think you can start reading too much into manager's decisions.

"Players will be rotated over the festive period because there's a lot of games in a short space of time."

Bowen has contributed three goals and five assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.

The Hammers take on Brighton at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.
