Forward axed in Rodgers 4-3-3: Celtic best possible XI v Partick
COMMENT
Celtic return to league duty against Partick at Firhill on Tuesday night following their comfortable 5-0 Scottish Cup victory over Brechin. Whilst the match against the Championship side was straightforward enough, the game against Partick will be a lot tougher, as they are currently in a relegation battle at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table. The Hoops will be wanting to make amends from their last league performance, the disappointing goal less Old Firm draw in December. Brendan Rodgers will pick a strong side for the game as the Hoops look to maintain their eight point lead at the top of the league, there should only be one change from the time which beat Brechin, with Moussa Dembele replacing forward Odsonne Edouard, who must be axed.. GOALKEEPER AND DEFENDERS
Craig Gordon (Goalkeeper) -
Didn't have much to do against Brechin at the weekend but will still be between the sticks as he is undeniably the number one goalkeeper at the club
Mikael Lustig (Rght-back) -
Looked far better against Brechin than he did in the weeks before the winter break when he looked fatigued, will be a bonus if he is back on form
Kristoffer Ajer (Centre-back) -
Struggled at times to cope with Brechin's physical style but with Simunovic out of form and Compper injured he should keep his place in the side
Dedryck Boyata (Centre-back) -
Scored his first goal of the season against Brechin which hopefully gives him the confidence to perform better in the second-half of the season
Kieran Tierney (Left-back) -
Seems refreshed after a much-needed winter break, really needs some competition in the side but until then he must play every game

MIDFIELD
Scott Brown (Central-midfield) -
Another game, another start for the Hoops captain who will be refreshed after only playing 60 minutes in the Cup tie against Brechin
Olivier Ntcham (Central-midfield) -
Must start every game from now on, was superb against Brechin and he and Brown look like a solid partnership
Callum McGrgeor (Attacking-midfield) -
Looked somewhat back to his best with two assists against Brechin, should be a starter in the first-team until the return of Stuart Armstrong from injury

FORWARDS
James Forrest (Left-winger) -
13 goals so far for the favourite to be named Scottish player of the year, should keep his place in the side even when Patrick Roberts returns from injury
Scott Sinclair (Right-winger) -
Scored against Brechin to take his total for the season to 16 goals even though he's not played that well this season shows why he's a must-pick for the side
Moussa Dembele (Striker) -
Should play as he's still by far the best striker at the club despite the rumours surrounding his future which aren't going away In other Celtic news,
