Republic of Ireland fans were left raging at Celtic star Adam Idah after his performance in their 2-0 defeat to England on Saturday (7 September).

Idah, 23, was chosen to lead the line for his country in the highly-anticipated clash, but was substituted after 75 minutes as he failed to make an impact.

His performance left supporters at the Aviva Stadium fuming, while many Celtic supporters had also tuned in to watch their new signing.

After a successful loan spell at Parkhead in the latter half of last season, Idah made the permanent move for a fee of £9.5million in August.

However, fans are already beginning to question if their investment may have been misplaced after his performance for Ireland.

Celtic fans were made to wait for the striker to return from Norwich after long-winded negotiations, but he eventually made a big-money move back to Glasgow.

However, his performance on international duty has raised red flags about whether he should have been brought back, as fans are beginning to ask questions.

Supporters took to social media following his substitution to display their frustrations at his performance as he was labelled "terrible", "rubbish" and "a shambles".

Some even went as far as to suggest they never want to see him play for his country again.
