Glen Kamara will try and push through a move from Rangers to Arsenal, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted every player wants to play in the Premier League and Rangers will not be able to compete financially.

An Ibrox source has updated to tell Football Insider that discussions over an extension to his contract, which expires in the summer of 2023, are continuing.

Steven Gerrard revealed on August 6, via the BBC, the club had presented Kamara with a "really, strong good offer" to extend his deal.

Asked whether the 25-year-old's head may be turned by Arsenal's interest, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: "100 per cent.

"Players want to play in the Premier League, let's not be fooled here.

"Odsonne Edouard left Celtic to go to the Premier League and it wasn't even one of the top clubs in the Premier League.

"Kamara, if Arsenal are interested in him, will want to push that move through. The money's better in the Premier League than what Rangers can afford to pay.

"I'm sure that's something he'll want to get done, if he can. But he'll do it the right way and be respectful to his current club."

Rangers

Kamara moved to Rangers from Dundee for just £50,000 in January 2019.

The Finland international has scored four times and provided six assists in 113 games across all competitions for the Light Blues.
