Gabby Agbonlahor has revealed he has "heard" the Aston Villa squad are "enjoying" Unai Emery's managerial methods.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Aston Villa's record Premier League goalscorer insisted Emery's methods are sustainable and could the club qualify for European football again.

The Daily Mail reported last week (18 November) that the new manager introduced long days, limited free time and detailed video sessions at the training ground.

The 51-year-old has helped deliver a new manager bounce at Villa Park since replacing Steven Gerrard last month (24 October).

Aston Villa have won both of their Premier League games under Emery and they have won three of the four league games since Gerrard was sacked.

"Unai Emery will have his way of management if that's long days, limited free time and detailed video sessions at the training ground and he thinks that will get Aston Villa into Europe, the players will be on board," Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

"It is sustainable and it does have longevity if the players are fully backing the manager and from reports from what I've heard, they are. They are enjoying it.

"If they can see that results are changing and they have a chance of sneaking into Europe they will get on board, easily."

Aston Villa went into the World Cup break 12th in the Premier League table, just three points from the top seven.

They are next in action on Boxing Day when they welcome Liverpool to Villa Park.
