Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 'fed up' and could exit Liverpool after Saturday development - pundit
Paul Robinson fears Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is "fed up" at Liverpool after missing out on the FA Cup semi-final squad.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs and England number one suggested an exit is on the cards for the 28-year-old this summer.
Oxlade-Chamberlain did not make the matchday squad on Saturday as the Reds booked their place in the FA Cup final with a 3-2 win over Man City.
The centre-midfielder has not played a single minute in the Premier League or Champions League since 19 February.
Signed from Arsenal in August 2017, Oxlade-Chamberlain is approaching the final 12 months on his contract at Anfield.
When asked for his assessment of Oxlade-Chamberlain's situation, Robinson told Football Insider: "It is a squad game.
"If he hasn't got a game since February it is telling you that he is not really needed.
"At this stage of his career, with the time he has left on his contract it looks like he will be leaving.
"To be part of a team challenging on all fronts is exciting. But it is only exciting if you are getting game time. Oxlade-Chamberlain will be fed up there. He will be desperate to play.
"The team was changed so much against Benfica so for him not to get a run out says a lot. He is far down the pecking order. He could leave because he will want to be playing."
