'All over the place' - Kris Commons delivers damning Rangers verdict
Sky Sports pundit Kris Commons has heavily criticised Rangers for their first-half performance against Aberdeen, in a game which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Commons, appearing on Sky Sports Football on Tuesday night, savaged the Gers who after a bright start fell out of the game after conceding a penalty which was converted by Kenny McLean.
The Gers then launched into a series of poor challenges, which didn't impress the former Celtic striker one bit.
"There's frustration, they are angry, they don't look as if they've got a plan B. There's a lack of composure, they are all over the place," he said.
The Gers did improve in the second-half and got a point thanks to a Ross McCrorie header.
Football Insider verdict
The Gers did improve in the second-half and were well-worthy of their point, but Commons was correct to savage the first-half performance, which has to go done as one of the worst of the season from the Gers. They completely lose all their discipline after conceding what looked a very soft penalty. But credit has to go to Gers caretaker manager Jimmy Nicholl, who managed to knock his team's heads together at half-time and get the Light Blues to turn in a much improved performance in the second-half. Nicholl will know that if the Gers are to finish runners-up in the Scottish Premiership table, they will need to turn in a far better performance against Neil Lennon's Hibernian on Sunday, as Hibernian are still in the hunt to be runners-up, and Lennon will be desperate to get one over on the team who he has enjoyed many memorable battles against in the past.
