The BBC Sport website aimed a dig at Leeds on Twitter as it highlighted a milestone secured by Jack Wilshere on Saturday.

The midfielder completed his first 90 minutes in two years on Saturday as he played a key role in Bournemouth's 0-0 draw against Tottenham at the Vitality Stadium.

The 24-year-old started and finished a match in the Premier League for the first time since 13 September 2014.

The BBC Sport Twitter account revealed it was the first time in 771 days that Wilshere had completed 90 minutes and claimed that, by comparison, "Leeds have had six managers in that time".

Elland Road owner Massimo Cellino has a reputation as a hire-and-fire merchant and Steve Evans became the sixth manager of his two-and-a-half year tenure to be axed in June.

Meanwhile, Arsenal academy graduate Wilshere is on a season-long loan at Bournemouth trying to resurrect his career after years of fitness problems.

Wilshere started his fifth league match of the season on Saturday as he showed signs that his seemingly neverending series of injuries could finally be behind him.

The England international, 24, has entered the final two years of the Gunners contract he signed in 2012 when it appeared he had the world at his feet.

Wilshere, who has won 34 caps for his country, has made 160 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and supplying 24 assists.

In other Leeds team news, their midfielder has revealed that he held talks with Monk.
