BBC Sportsound pundit Tam McManus has ripped into Celtic defender Mikael Lustig after a shocker in Russia on Thursday night. Celtic were blown out of the Europa league after a 3-0 loss to Zenit that started in the worst possible way as Branislav Ivanovic was gifted a goal in just the seventh minute. Brendan Rodgers' men couldn't match the heroics of last Thursday when they beat Zenit 1-0 and were by far the worst team on the night in the second leg. McManus took to Twitter after a series of mistakes from Lustig, calling him a "poor defender" and writing, "Don't see it with Lustig... Bit of a cult hero with the Celtic support but not for me."

McManus did see one defender he liked the look of though, saving his praise for former Chelsea man Ivanovic. He said that Zenit worked hard to clog up the middle of the park and that Ivanovic was "superb".

It's a disappointing result for Celtic but they can now focus on winning the Premiership, after their lead had been cut to nine points after two consecutive draws. They face a tough game next away at Aberdeen on Sunday and must put tonight behind them quickly and move on. In other Celtic news,
